EYE Applied Optix is pleased to support SMART Microsystems’ Super UV Testing Services with the industry’s latest, most advanced instrumentation and technology.

The effective irradiation areas on the test plate measures 16.61 in. x 7.48 in. and can accommodate a number of test samples based on your test sample size(s).

1 – DRAMATICALLY REDUCES TEST TIME
The Super UV Metal Halide lamp based weathering chamber utilizes higher irradiance UV & Near-Visible spectra, and controlled sample temperature to allow for significant reductions in test time when compared with Fluorescent UV & Xenon chambers. For comparison, a Xenon chamber test requiring 15 months or longer can be accomplished in 0.5 months using an SUV chamber. 

2 – ENABLES RAPID PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Super UV testing may be used as part of a strategic R&D effort to rapidly test material formulations during product development. 

3 – ACCELERATES PRODUCT LIFE PREDICTION
Super UV testing accelerates the availability of service life prediction data such as measurement of changes in material tensile strength, elasticity, color and gloss.
